In Paris, enthusiasts of dips, pull-ups, and squats are well accommodated: the city is filled with street workout areas. Here's our selection.
Jardin des Grands-Explorateurs Marco-Polo et Cavelier-de-la-Salle (6th)
Training in the heart of Paris
It is often confused with the Jardin du Luxembourg (6th arrondissement), to which it is adjacent. However, the Jardin des Grands-Explorateurs has a lot to offer, including great apparatus at its northern end. It concentrates the essentials for all calisthenics enthusiasts in a small space: pull-up bars, parallel bars and a rope bridge. What more could you ask for?

Square Henri Christiné (10th)
Fitness on the canal
Street workout enthusiasts agree: training in the heat is not ideal. Luckily for you, we've found the perfect spot: Square Henri Christiné (10th arrondissement). Just a stone's throw from the "écluse des Morts", the square boasts a full range of exercise equipment, set beside the water and sheltered by tall trees. Ideal for training… even in midsummer.
Parc de Bercy (12th)
Rub shoulders with purists
Of all the apparatus in Paris, this is perhaps the most impressive. The reason? It's the meeting place for the most determined exercisers. Here, you can train fast and hard on the many modules placed in the cool shade under the trees. But there's no need to be shy: anyone can come and use the apparatus as they please. And who knows? Maybe you'll catch a glimpse of Medhy, one of the club's most popular regulars and the driving force behind a number of social projects.

LE BAL - 6 Impasse de la Défense, Paris 18e
Du jeudi 07 mars 2024 au dimanche 19 mai 2024

The municipal street workout field in the Parc de Bercy (12th arrondissement) attracts a large number of sports enthusiasts every day. Among them is Medhy, who initiates a variety of projects and actions aimed at creating social links. In May 2020, he asked Marine Peixoto to come and photograph him. The result? An exhibition at BAL (18th arrondissement).
Île aux Cygnes (15th)
Get inspired by the Statue of Liberty
It's not every day you get to work out on an island in the middle of Paris, just a few meters from the largest replica of the famous Statue of Liberty. Located at the western end of the island, under the Pont de Grenelle (15th arrondissement), this street workout park offers a variety of bar modules, a espalier and even a climbing wall! Perfect for honing your muscles in an idyllic setting.
Allée de Longchamp (16th)
Build up muscle in the great outdoors
An espalier, a rope bridge, some fifteen modules for pull-ups… There's no doubt about it: the apparatus on the allée de Longchamp, in the Bois de Boulogne (16th arrondissement), is one of the most complete in the capital. And one of the most bucolic, too, since it's located at the end of a path, in a small clearing bordered by a small stream. In short, a haven of peace (and muscles).
Jardin des voltiges (19th)
The largest street workout space in Paris
Inaugurated in 2020, the Jardin des Voltiges (19th arrondissement) is the place to be for street workouts in Paris. And with good reason: it's been designed for and by street exercisers. Over a surface area of 1,500 m2, it features a wide variety of modules for all levels. A must-try!
