All the necessary information on registering your child for school meals at a public middle school in Paris, including details on how the applicable price is determined.
Where to register school lunches?
To register or re-register your child for the 2024 school year, you must contact his or her school, which will inform you of the steps to follow.
Please note: if your child is enrolled in a collège where the catering is managed by a caisse des écoles, (all collèges except those in cités scolaires, the list of which can be consulted below) you should contact the caisse des écoles for the arrondissement of your child's collège.
You will be asked to provide a document proving your family quotient (QF), which will be used to determine your price band.
Attention
If you do not specify your rate band, the highest rate will automatically be applied (€7 per meal in September 2024).
How do you calculate your family quotient?
The family quotient is calculated on the basis of annual income, monthly benefits provided by the Caisse d'Allocations Familiales (CAF) and the composition of your household tax rate.
The family quotient is calculated and the price set, unless the price scale is modified, for the entire school year.
If there are major changes in your personal situation during the year (birth, death, separation, loss of employment), or if any errors in declarations or administrative procedures have been corrected, please contact the school administrator, who will tell you how to obtain a new calculation of the fee band.
What do you have to do to obtain a family income certificate?
If your tax band has been determined for a City service other than school meals, and you have a valid "Ville de Paris" family quotient certificate, you do not need to recalculate your family quotient . Simply attach this document to your registration form.
School meals managed by a school fund
For collèges whose school meals are managed by a caisse des écoles, the calculation of your price band is done directly with the caisse des écoles in your arrondissement.

If you do not have a valid "Ville de Paris" family allowance certificate
1. If you are a CAF (Caisse d'allocations familiales) recipient :
You must provide proof of your situation to the CAF.
You can choose between :

Your valid CAF certificate

A proof of entitlement generated via the " Mon Quotient Familial Parisien " website.
This document is generated according to your CAF account, so you'll need your beneficiary number.
2. If you are not a CAF recipient :
You must provide a certificate based on your tax returns or a social worker certificate :
A) Your household has proof of income
Depending on your situation :
1) Have your family quotient (QF) established by a Ville de Paris / Paris Familles department if :
a) your household has 2 separate tax notices: provide your 2023 tax notices for 2022 income
b) If you fall into one of the following categories, please provide your 2024 tax notice(s) for 2023 income:

you are eligible or would like to be eligible for a rate band that differs from your QF due to a change in your circumstances.
c) If you are not known to the tax authorities, or if you are attached to another tax household, you can submit any document that enables us to determine your household's resources and family composition.

B) Your household has no proof of income
You should then contact the social worker at your child's school. If the school doesn't have one, contact the social worker at the Centre d'action sociale de la Ville de Paris (CASVP) located near your home.
Once we have reviewed your application, we will provide you with an assessment of your financial, social and family situation. You'll then need to provide this document to register your child for the catering service.
