On the banks of a canal, on the roof of a railway station, in the middle of a forest… More than 120 squares, parks and gardens are equipped with table tennis tables. Here are our favorite spots.

Square Robert-Montagne (5th arrondissement)

In the backdrop of the Great Mosque

It's one of the smallest squares in Paris (581 square meters), but this green space, created in 1929, has a secret! The white mulberry trees in its garden welcome ping-pong players who come regularly come for a bash, while admiring the Grand Mosque's minaret (5th).

Jardin des Grands-Explorateurs Marco-Polo and Cavelier-de-la-Salle (6th)

Play on Paris' most secret ping-pong tables

Behind this long-winded name lies one of Paris's least-known parks. The reason? It's adjacent to the Luxembourg park (6th arrondissement), which attracts Parisians and tourists alike. Which makes it the perfect place to crash on one of the available tables and perfect your lift.

Square des Récollets (10th)

Play canal side

With its pretty banks and romantic footbridges, the Canal Saint-Martin (10th and 11th arrondissements) is undoubtedly one of the capital's most pleasant spots. But did you know that it's also an ideal spot to work on your racket game? It's the perfect spot to master your forehand… at the risk of seeing the ball end up in the water!

Parc floral (12th)

Work on your backhand in the fresh air

The Parc Floral (12th arrondissement) is a 35-hectare area in the heart of the Bois de Vincennes, where you can cool off in summer, take a stroll, observe no fewer than 7,000 varieties of plants… and challenge yourself on one of the seven ping-pong tables. Not bad, eh?

Jardin Atlantique (15th)

Work on your rallies on a train station roof

It's not the first green space you think of when you think of the 15th arrondissement. However, the Jardin Atlantique has a rare asset that deserves our attention: it's located on the roof of the Gare Montparnasse train station. Surrounded by tall buildings, it's a fairly private spot, and therefore an invaluable place to hit a few balls in peace and quiet, while waiting for your train.

Jardin du Pré-Catelan (16th)

Break a sweat in the middle of a forest

To the west of the capital, in the heart of the Bois de Boulogne, lies the pretty Pré-Catelan (16th). Amidst the many trees where Parisians enjoy their strolls, you'll find ping-pong tables perfect for playing with friends or family. When the weather's fine, there's nothing like stretching out on the grass to recuperate after a frenzied game. A change of scenery is guaranteed!

Jardin naturel Pierre-Emmanuel (20th)

Work on your composure by connecting to nature

There's a place in Paris that's home to a small wood, a wet meadow, exotic trees… and ping-pong tables! Head for the north-east of the capital, to the Pierre-Emmanuel natural garden (20th). It's the city's second-largest biodiversity haven, right after the nearby Père-Lachaise cemetery. It's a great spot to unwind and de-stress.
