Paris Eco Walks lets you discover Paris from a new angle, with itineraries available via a free mobile app on App Store and Googleplay as well as online.
What you'll find: Explore 27 routes through evolving neighborhoods, new developments, and both wild and cultivated natural spots. Plus, enjoy fascinating insights into the rare and common plant and animal species that inhabit these areas.

How does it work?
The application is free, and can be downloaded from App Store or Google play. On the web, it's here

From the Pont de Grenelle to Bois de Boulogne - 16th

3 km - about 2 hours in 7 stages: from the Pont de Grenelle to the Bois de Boulogne gates, via the Petite Ceinture railway line
The walk begins on the Pont de Grenelle, opposite the replica of the Statue of Liberty. Then you'll discover the green spaces and other pretty parks of the 16th arrondissement, such as the Ranelagh garden, all the way to the Bois de Boulogne. Some beautiful monuments, such as the Maison de la Radio and a fine Art Nouveau building, are also worth a look.

This route takes you through the Jardin des Plantes (with its large tropical greenhouses) and into the Latin Quarter, where you'll discover little corners of nature, as well as architectural and historical relics, such as the Lutetia arenas and the remains of Philippe Auguste's walls.
The Seine in the heart of the city - Paris Centre et 6e

Walking along the Seine, from one bank to the other, walkers can discover the heart of Paris, the Saint Louis and Cité islands. A great way to admire the river and discover the treasures that Mother Nature has deposited along its banks.

Another delightful walk along the Seine, particularly on the lower quays where traffic has been reduced. It's wonderful to see nature reclaiming its space!
The gardens of the 7th

3 km - approx. 2h30 - 9 stages from the squares and gardens of rue de Babylone to Champ-de-Mars
The 7th arrondissement abounds in small squares and large expanses of green! This itinerary, which connects these green spaces, allows you to make some wonderful discoveries, such as the hidden orchard of the Catherine Labouré garden or the vegetable garden of the Unesco garden.
The Seine downstream of the Alma - 7th, 15th and 16th

Here's a lovely stroll along the Seine which, in addition to offering a fine view of some major monuments such as the Eiffel Tower, the bateaux-mouches pier and the Ile aux Cygnes, also allows you to discover all the wild flora and fauna that have taken up residence here.
Le Canal Saint-Martin - 10e, 11e, Paris Centre

This walk follows in the footsteps of the Canal Saint-Martin. From Stalingrad station (19th), the route follows the picturesque canal, then crosses the city (above its underground section) to end at Bastille and its little port.

At the foot of the Père-Lachaise cemetery, there are a multitude of initiatives to make the city greener. On this (almost) rural stroll, you'll discover green spaces, green facades and other development projects.

This second stroll through the heart of the 11th district will enable us to observe other initiatives implemented in the area, this time focusing more on buildings and how real estate can also be more respectful of the environment.
From the Coulée Verte to the Bois de Vincennes 12th

2.8 km - approx. 2 h - 6 stages: from allée Vivaldi (Coulée Verte) to the gates of the Bois de Vincennes, via the Petite Ceinture.
A beautiful walk awaits walkers in the 12th arrondissement. Away from traffic, the route takes in a portion of the Coulée Verte and then the inner ring road, perfect for families in search of an invigorating escape from the hustle and bustle of the city.

This itinerary takes visitors on a tour of the 14th arrondissement, in search of the treasures of nature and beautiful human initiatives. First by taking the Coulée Verte, a former railroad line, then by discovering new districts, community grocery stores, smart buildings and the Montparnasse cemetery, a biodiversity hotspot.
